Body Literacy Journalling Workshops
This September, we’re launching a series of guided journalling sessions centered on the theme of Body Literacy.
These sessions are designed to help participants develop a meaningful daily practice of tuning in to their bodies – by observing, reflecting, and recording their physical, emotional, and mental experiences.
The goal is to create a space where body awareness becomes second nature. Through shared examples and practical guidance, we’ll explore what body literacy looks like in everyday life, what to notice, how to listen more closely to your body’s signals, and how this practice supports overall well-being, especially for women.
As part of the journey, we’ll weave in educational content on the menstrual cycle, hormone fluctuations, menopause, and cancer awareness. By combining personal reflection with useful health information, these sessions aim to empower participants to build a deeper, more informed relationship with their bodies – one page at a time.
This free 4-week programme will led by Charlotte O’Byrne.
Charlotte O’Byrne is a Period Coach, Circle facilitator and all round women’s advocate. She runs the Leicester arm of Freedom4girls which is a Period Poverty charity aiming to combat the Toxic Trio of Period Poverty – Lack of Access to Products, Lack of Education and The Shame and Stigma placed on women’s and menstruating peoples bodies. Charlotte wholeheartedly believes that we need to create more connection in the world that we live in, and so encouraging connection – with our-selves, each other and the world – is the thread that runs through all of her work.
