Ideal for anyone on the waiting list, this service is designed to offer interim emotional and practical support while they wait for their next step in receiving counselling at Quetzal.
What is the Check-in call service?
It is a volunteer operated service and each scheduled ‘check-in call’ will involve offering emotional support over the phone, guiding clients through our self-help guide, answering any questions and performing risk assessments as required.
It is a powerful service for clients needing someone to talk to, it is not therapy, but a means of offering emotional and practical support as well as signposting information.
Please note that this service is available from Mon-Fri, 10am – 3pm only
