We believe cost should never be a barrier for survivors of childhood sexual abuse to access counselling so our counselling is provided free of charge, with donations greatly appreciated however as we are a small charity there is a significant waiting list to begin one on one counselling. If you are looking for a specialist counsellor and are able to pay privately we can put you in touch with our highly trained therapists who also run private practice. Please email help@quetzal.org.uk for more information.
Beginning counselling is a significant step. Many women find the experience challenging as well as beneficial. We can provide a safe space for you to explore your emotions; however, counselling does require a personal and practical commitment to be effective. Please watch this video which answers some of the main questions you may have.
If you are not ready to come to counselling yet, you can learn more about counselling and read our self-help guide.
