Healing Words Anthology: Official Launch during Quetzal’s Week of Activism 2024
As part of Quetzal’s Week of Activism from September 23-30, 2024, we are proud to unveil our first anthology, Healing Words, crafted by survivors for survivors.
This poignant anthology showcases memoirs and fictional works born from six transformative writing workshops conducted with Global Wordsmiths and Quetzal, as part of the Project Healing Words. Edited by Nicci Robinson and Victoria Villasenor, directors of Global Wordsmiths, the collection is a testament to the resilience, courage, and healing journeys of sexual violence survivors.
The editors describe the book as:
“Each piece in the collection offers a powerful testament to the resilience, courage, and healing journey of sexual violence survivors. Through their words, these authors reclaim their narratives, shedding light on the often-silenced experiences of trauma and the profound strength found in the process of recovery.”
They invite readers to:
