Quetzal wants to thank and acknowledge Tayyibah Lockhat, mendhi artist based in Leicester for creating the henna design featured as well as Poonam, illustrator at Thanki Scribbles for pulling it all together and designing posters, leaflets and business cards for Quetzal. Those new resources were developed through the Break the Silence Initiative, a project measuring the effectiveness of a community-based approach to raise awareness about the trauma of childhood sexual abuse and the value of counselling in Leicester South Asian Communities.
