Accelerate Action for Gender Equality on Loughborough University Campus during International Women’s Week by joining Lucy and Thalir, our current Lboro Talent Match Interns in events and interventions raising awareness about the local support for survivors of childhood sexual abuse and fundraising for Quetzal

Lucy and Thalir, two communications and media Loughborough University students are currently completing their Talent Match micro-internship with Quetzal. Over their 50 hours of internship with Quetzal, Lucy and Thalir aim to raise awareness about the charity and their support to women recovering from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse on campus and this in support of International Women’s Day (IWD).

This year, IWD theme is ‘’Accelerate Action’’ focusing on speeding progress toward gender equality.

Lucy and Thalir are inviting Lboro students and staff, Quetzal beneficiaires and supporters living in Loughborough as well as residents to join them in their effort to raise awareness on campus as well as fundraise for Quetzal. They have planned several events for people to join in.

On Thursday 6th, the team will be at the LSU ‘Girls Night In’ hosting the candle painting event. A wholesome and relaxing evening to connect and celebrate women at the treehouse.

If you would like to find out more about Quetzal, and the actions you can take to support survivors of childhood sexual abuse? Meet the team at Loughborough Student Union (LSU) on Monday 10th March.
