Wamama Leicester is a Leicester-based community bringing together women, predominantly from Eastern Africa (inc. East Congo, Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and more) living in Leicester.

The group provide a safe, caring and empowering environment for women to strive and support at best their families.

The group recently celebrated Mother’s Day at Quetzal and invited dr Marie Lefebvre to share the work Quetzal does to support women in their journey towards recovery from the trauma of childhood sexual abuse.

Quetzal is ever so grateful to Wamama Leicester for choosing Quetzal to host their event and for the opportunity to share their work.
