One-to-One Coaching Support Sessions

We’re pleased to let you know about an optional one-to-one coaching programme now available while you remain on our counselling waiting list. This coaching support is completely separate from counselling and will not affect your place on the list. If you choose to take part, you will still receive your full counselling sessions once they become available.

What the coaching programme offers

· Up to 4 coaching sessions

· Sessions held online via Zoom (face-to-face available from July 8th 2026)

· A supportive, respectful space to explore personal goals at your own pace

Sessions are led by you and will be guided by your needs. Topics could include:

· Confidence and communication skills

· Resilience, stress management, and emotional stabilisation

· Goal setting, planning, prioritising and time management

· Developing practical skills and exploring learning opportunities

· Identifying personal and local resources

· Defining next steps and creating accountability

About coaching

Coaching focuses on the present and future; helping you build confidence, strengthen skills, and move toward goals you choose for yourself. It is different from counselling, which offers therapeutic support for processing trauma, emotions, and past experiences.

Because coaching is geared around action, reflection, and skill-building, it works best when you feel able to focus on these areas without feeling overwhelmed. Coaching is not suitable at times of severe distress, crisis, or experiences such as psychosis. If any of these experiences are part of your current situation, please know that this is completely understandable. It may simply mean that counselling or another form of therapeutic support would be more suitable at this time. Our priority is ensuring that you have access to the type of support that best meets your needs. If this applies to you, please feel welcome to contact us so we can talk through alternative options whilst you are on our waiting list and provide appropriate guidance or signposting.

Your coach

All sessions will be delivered by Sacha or Kat, both qualified coaches and counsellors.

Next steps

If you feel coaching might be helpful for you at this time, we can arrange a short introductory call (up to 30 minutes). This call is simply an opportunity to talk through what coaching involves, explore what you’re hoping for, and check together whether the programme feels like a good fit.

Please email help@quetzal.org.uk or Text 07436530605 if you’d like to book an introductory call or if you have any questions at all.
