Watch Zoe’s Volunteer Community Connector Story of Change, and find out how she supported Quetzal and how the experience changed her life in many ways.
Zoe Alannah Fawkner volunteered at Quetzal between September 2020 and August 2021 supporting Quetzal Breaking the Silence Initiative,
She did many things at Quetzal including:
- providing social media support managing Quetzal Instagram account,
- getting involved with major campaigns (inc. Student Volunteering Week 2021 and It’s Not OK 2021) ,
- participating in the production of Quetzal Stories of Change
- fundraising and running the London Landmarks Half-Marathon on behalf of Quetzal with her all family.
- and more.
The volunteering experience and involvement with our collaborator Leicester Stories inspired Zoe to start a master’s in investigative journalism at DMU university. She is also volunteering at Leicester Community Radio while looking for opportunities in media that will support her career as a broadcast journalist.
