Sponsor NCS Changemakers 300 min Walk dedicated to 300 Female Survivors and Crush the Hush Monday 9th August 2021
NCS Changemakers are long-term volunteers who after completing their NCS programme, continued creating change in their community by organising and delivering social action days.
In May 2021, Quetzal joined Leicester NCS Changemakers supported by LEBC for an online meeting if they would support and fundraise for a Crush the Hush campaign. The funds will support the purchase of materials to paint a mural in Leicester City Centre to celebrate all the communities working together to raise awareness about the trauma of childhood sexual abuse and the value of counselling.
Quetzal shared their work supporting and advocating for the 300 female survivors of childhood sexual abuse who each year reach out to Quetzal, their Breaking the Silence Initiative and the impacts of NCS Crush the Hush campaign in increasing the number of young female survivors coming forward.
The feedback from the NCS Changemakers was ever so positive and they decided to pick and support Quetzal Crush the Hush. We are ever so grateful for their support.
