The Adhar mental health charity is running the first culturally sensitive  Adult Domestic Abuse Recovery Toolkit 12 week Programme in Leicester for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women, every Monday from 25th January 2021 from 11am-12.30pm.

The Programme aims to help participants understand the impact of having experienced domestic abuse, helping them understand how to move forward.

The programme is 1 hour per week online with the condition that you are no longer in a relationship with the abusive partner

Programme participants are given practical strategies to help them thrive in their daily live by developing resilience, increasing hope and enabling recovery.

Since 1989, the Adhar project provide community support services to people from the BAME community experiencing mental health difficulties. Their services focuses on delivering early intervention and prevention work with individuals primarily from BAME communities but not exclusively.
